This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Type: Full Time
Shift(s) Available: 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Compensation: $ 24.00/Hr
Principal Accountabilities
  • Operating equipment including Packaging Machines, Palletizers, Forklifts, pallet jack, stretchwrapers, front end loaders, etc.
  • Perform quality review on product
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks - sweeping, scraping, shoveling, wiping, etc.
  • Changing Stretch wrap and Top Sheets
  • Operate programs such as SAP, MII, FourKites, RtDuet. to tag downtime events and enter production numbers
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Able to perform physical job duties such as bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Experience using a computer
  • Able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
  • Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Able to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or Equivalent job experience
  • Prior experience in production-related work or military experience
  • Experience operating a forklift and/or warehousing experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or warehouse inventory management systems able to operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozer and front-end loader
