๐Ÿ’ผ Full-Time | Starting Salary: $55,000/year


Miami Arts Charter School is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Government & Economics Teacher to join our exceptional faculty for the 2026โ€“2027 school year.


Established in 2009 in Miamiโ€™s iconic Wynwood Arts District, our school serves a talented student body in grades 6โ€“12. All students are admitted through an application and audition process in the performing and fine arts. As a public charter school, our commitment to academic rigor and creative excellence sets us apart.


All instructional content aligns with Florida State Standards, and our teachers are supported in delivering high-quality, impactful lessons to a unique population of academically and artistically gifted students.


Responsibilities:

  • Teach Government and Economics courses to high school students (Some AP Courses required)
  • Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that promote civic understanding and financial literacy
  • Establish a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and respectful debate
  • Monitor and report on student progress through assessments and grading
  • Foster strong connections with students, families, and colleagues
  • Support school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development activities

Qualifications:

  • State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) OR Statement of Eligibility
  • Teaching experience preferred, though not required
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • A passion for education, public policy, and preparing students for real-world engagement
  • Dedication to working with a diverse and highly motivated student population
