Job description

Bard Manufacturing Company, a leading manufacturer of commercial Heating and Air Conditioning systems has an immediate opening for a Training Coordinator in our Madison, Ga. Plant. This is a DAY SHIFT - 8 hour, 5 day week schedule Monday-Friday which includes working overtime during busy season which may include working Saturdays.

The Training Coordinator will develop and facilitate effective training and communications in support of Bard Manufacturing's production and QMS systems, tools and processes. The primary focus is to develop employees' skills and capabilities to improve product quality and plant productivity. The Training Coordinator advocates for employee training needs and must be able to interpret and effectively communicate those needs to the leadership team. The primary role will be to collaborate with department supervisors, Quality, Engineering and HR to create learning paths for new hires (or new to role employees) and to insure continuous education / training needs are met to expedite time to full productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, initiate, and document all required training for Bard Manufacturing Madison, GA personnel
  • Deliver new employee orientation sessions for all new full time and temporary employees
  • Maintain employee training records
  • Scan and save training records by individual employee and by type of training for all group training sessions
  • Conduct other training as assigned (i.e. forklift certification, Safety) to include the development of training content and materials
  • Assist with maintaining the Safety Program
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with Quality System SOPs, work instructions, drawings, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ISO requirements
  • Develop and distribute training material per individual program requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and make recommendations that drive continual improvement and support our business goals.
  • Investigate and/or develop new methods and tools for adult based training.
  • Update and maintain Training plans and materials in terms of content and delivery methods.
  • Perform other training related duties as identified by management
  • Maintain a schedule of new product and refresher training courses
  • Use professional concepts to apply company policies and procedures to determine best practices as it relates to training
  • Assist with contributing to the instructional design process to develop internal education programs. Utilize proven techniques to research, design and develop learning materials for new and existing programs in a variety of contexts and subjects, using several software applications and tools
  • Assist the team with continuous improvement of training processes, systems, tools and resources
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of related quality and training experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of training techniques, materials, and adult learning
  • Working knowledge of ISO requirements preferred
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve problems with little or no supervision.
  • You must be passionate about how learning and development contributes to a company's overall success.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and practice, strong project management, facilitation and creation of high quality training materials.
