Job description

Camp Manager (Temporary - 2-Week Summer Camp)

Position Summary

The Camp Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CIE Summer Camp during a twoweek program. This role ensures a safe, engaging, and well-organized environment for campers and staff while supporting program delivery and addressing on-site needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daytoday camp operations during the 2-week program
  • Supervise camp staff and volunteers; provide direction and support
  • Ensure a safe environment by enforcing camp policies and procedures
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, parents, and participants
  • Coordinate daily schedules, activities, and logistics
  • Address and resolve participant or staff issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor attendance and maintain accurate records
  • Support program setup and breakdown activities
  • Respond to emergencies and follow established protocols

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in camp leadership, youth programs, or event coordination preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start date) preferred

  • Schedule: Full-time during camp operating hours (may include early setup/late wrap-up)
  • Location: CIE Summer Camp site

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and be active for extended periods
