Summary
 
As an Environmental Operator I, you will be responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, and/or packaging of Environmental Vials in a controlled environment.
You will carry out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures, work instruction documents, and blueprints or drawings as they relate to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.
 
Responsibilities
  • Work safely following all safety requirements.
  • Work diligently, following work instruction documents and standard operating procedures.
  • Assemble products with strong attention to detail, closely following guidelines, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Record correct and accurate documentation in Production Control Documents.
  • Inspect in-process and finished products; package and pull from archives for product sampling.
  • Actively participate in Practical Process Improvements (PPI), Lean and Continuous Improvement activities including 5S activities.
  • Assist in training co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • 0 to 1 year of experience in the manufacturing/production background.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions both written and oral.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to infrequently lift and manipulate up to 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including gloves, hair & beard net, safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry
  • Understand chemical hygiene, including labels and SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
  • Flexibility/willingness to adapt to operational needs.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced controlled environment with additional overtime as required.
