The outgoing and service-oriented Retail Host provides fast and courteous service to our guests interested in purchasing a souvenir to remember their experience.

We are currently looking for a:

Adventureland Park - Retail Host (16+)

Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Welcome and greet allguestswith a smileas they enter retail locations

    • Initiate conversations with guests andassistwith any questions they may haveregardingour merchandise or souvenirs

    • Maintain a general knowledge ofall availablemerchandisetoassistguests with questionsregardingourproducts

    • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions promote these events to prospective guests

    • Attempt to increase revenue byutilizingvarious sales techniques, such as suggestive selling or upselling

    • Resolve guest concerns in a courteous and prompt manner

    • Operate all POS equipment accurately tofinalizeall purchases

    • Ensure merchandise is well stocked, organized, and presentable for our guests

    • Ensure the retail locations are clean and safe for our guests

    • Refold or rehang clothing items as necessary

    • Assistmanagers and supervisors with monitoring inventory control methods

    • Processand returndamaged merchandisein accordance withcompany policies

    • Operate mobile retail carts, when applicable

    • Rotate food and beverage products according to department standards and incompliance withhealth coderegulations

    • Safely andproperly usea step ladder to reach higher shelving

    • Remain vigilantforpossible theftfrom guests or other employees

    • Notify leadershipwhen supplies are runninglowsuch as printer paper, ink pens, trash bags, shopping bags, etc.

    • Report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or managerin a timely manner

    • All otherduties assigned byleadership

    Education & Experience:

    • No educationrequired

    • Previousretailexperience ishelpful butnotrequired

    Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least16years of age tocomply withIowaChild Labor Laws

    • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

    • Musthave reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift

    • Ability tocomply withall uniform policies

    • Mustpossessexceptional customer service skills, with an ability toresolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

    • Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction

    • Previousexperience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus

    • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of ateamas well as independently

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday

    • Ability tofrequentlystoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders

    • Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner

    • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 poundsor more

    Working Conditions:

    • This role will be basedinone or more retail locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments

    • Frequent exposure tothe variableoutside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, andother weather conditions

    • Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents
