We are currently seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Job Summary: 

NTT DATA is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to serve as the senior network engineering subject matter expert for the government client. The right candidate has deep, hands-on experience designing, testing, deploying, troubleshooting, and sustaining large enterprise networks and can lead complex engineering efforts across WAN, LAN, DNS, wireless, enterprise network tools, and cloud connectivity. This is a technical leadership role that requires broad enterprise network depth, not mastery of every vendor product.

Job Duties:

  • Lead network engineering, design, testing, deployment, and technical troubleshooting for enterprise WAN, LAN, DNS, wireless, network tools, and cloud-connected environments.
  • Maintain the design integrity, security, performance, availability, and reliability of client enterprise network services.
  • Develop secure network designs for Government facilities, data centers, remote users, and commercial, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Produce and maintain technical requirements, high- and low-level designs, Detailed Design Documents, diagrams, test plans, implementation plans, and change documentation.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical assistance for complex network and system requests, identify root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Test new technologies, hardware, software, configurations, patches, and vendor fixes before production implementation.
  • Support change, configuration, release, technology refresh, capacity planning, performance monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, security teams, identity teams, and operations personnel to integrate solutions and transition them into production support.
  • Brief Government and contractor stakeholders, mentor engineers, and lead technical reviews and problem-solving sessions.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a closely related technical field.
    • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least 15 years of IT network engineering experience is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering and design.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing and supporting large enterprise WAN and LAN environments.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with DNS, wireless networking, routing, switching, network security, and enterprise network management or monitoring tools.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience engineering network connectivity for a hybrid/multi cloud environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience developing technical designs, test plans, implementation plans, diagrams, and change records.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex Tier 3 network issues. 
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI access

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with software-defined networking, SD-WAN, network automation, infrastructure as code, or configuration automation.
  • Experience with Federal security controls, network segmentation, Zero Trust concepts, vulnerability remediation, or classified environments.
  • Experience integrating network services with cloud, identity and access management, centralized logging, monitoring, or security platforms.
  • Relevant networking certification such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Experience supporting DHS, CISA, or another large Federal enterprise.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $117,232 - $195,388. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation. This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
