Job description

The Manager - IT Operations provides strategic leadership for the development, design, and integration of the technology roadmap initiatives for Holzer Health System. The Manager manages employees of the IT Operations Department and is responsible for the effectiveness and success of the department’s outcomes.

The IT Operations Department will provide support and maintenance for the Health System’s technology infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to:

· All servers, laptop/desktop pcs, printers, devices, and other related hardware

· The network infrastructure, both LAN, WAN, and remote access

· The cloud architecture

· The enterprise storage infrastructure

· System resiliency, including backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery plans

In addition to routine support and maintenance, the IT Operations Department is also involved extensively in special projects, project management, and providing guidance on achieving system interoperability, integration, and stability.

The Manager – IT Operations role includes the ability to plan, execute, and finalize projects in accordance with organizational priorities and timelines. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating priorities with the Director of IT Applications, Manager of IT Security, and any third party vendors, contractors, or consultants.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

· Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology Management, or other related field required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· Minimum of five years’ relevant work experience in a computer-related field with demonstrated increased responsibilities required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

· Experience in the selection and implementation of information systems technology preferred.

· ITIL, other technology certifications, and/or PMP experience a plus.
