Locum Tenens General Dentist (Mon Thu) Knoxville, TN

A busy dental practice in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a dedicated General Dentist for a locum tenens maternity leave assignment running from late October 2026 through January 2027. This temporary opening offers an opportunity to serve a diverse patient base with the option for a locum-to-permanent transition.

The clinician will be fully supported by two dental assistants and a dental auxiliary team member to ensure optimal chairside efficiency and a smooth daily workflow.

The Role:
  • Location: Knoxville, TN 37902
  • Schedule: Monday Thursday (Late October 2026 January 2027)
  • Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch at 12:00 PM)
  • Patient Volume: procedures per day plus hygiene checks
  • Clinical Scope: Bread and butter dentistry, composite fillings, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, endodontics, and simple extractions
  • Tech Stack: Dentrix Ascend
  • Preferred Skills: Comfort treating Medicaid populations as well as both adult and pediatric patients; 1+ years of post-residency clinical experience preferred
