Job description

The Cargo Van Driver will be responsible for operating a cargo van to deliver light packages primarily on local routes between New Jersey and New York. This role involves safe vehicle operation, accurate route navigation, and timely deliveries during standard daytime shifts. Drivers will maintain paper-based logs for deliveries and vehicle inspections, manage occasional customer interactions, and report maintenance needs as necessary.

This role is two days a week: Monday and Wednesday

Warehouse pickup in Hackensack to bring to store in NYC.


Responsibilities

  • Operate cargo van safely on local NJ to NY routes
  • Familiar and comfortable with NYC traffic rules
  • Navigate assigned routes efficiently and on schedule
  • Handle and secure light packages under 500 lbs
  • Load and Unload vehicle
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain delivery timeliness and accurate documentation
  • Use paper-based logs for delivery and vehicle inspection reporting
  • Engage in occasional customer interactions professionally
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
  • Manage fuel consumption effectively

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
