Job description

We are looking for a versatile Control Systems Engineer to join our team. You'll be the bridge between complex industrial challenges and smart automation solutions. From initial concept and PLC programming to on-site commissioning, you'll design and implement the systems that keep our clients' operations running at peak efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
  • System Design: Develop comprehensive control strategies, including hardware layouts, I/O schematics, and network architectures.
  • Programming: Write and optimize PLC logic (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and design intuitive HMI/SCADA interfaces.
  • Integration: Configure and tune VFDs, motion control systems, and industrial sensors.
  • Documentation: Create detailed functional descriptions, bill of materials (BOMs), and user manuals.
  • Field Commissioning: Lead on-site startup, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure systems meet performance specs and safety standards.
  • Client Collaboration: Act as a technical point of contact for clients to define project requirements and provide post-launch support.
What You'll Need
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in industrial automation or systems integration.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
    • Hands-on experience with SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, or FactoryTalk).
    • Familiarity with industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet).
    • Ability to read and redline electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving "on the fly" and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites (approx. 20-40%).
Preferred
  • Experience with robotic integration (FANUC, ABB, or KUKA).
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and IIoT data collection.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
