Temporary Data Quality Analyst information

What is a temporary data quality analyst?

Temporary Data Quality Analysts are professionals hired on a short-term basis to review, clean, and maintain the accuracy and integrity of data within an organization. They identify data inconsistencies, errors, and gaps, and often work on special projects or during periods of high data processing demand. Their responsibilities may include running quality checks, validating data sets, and collaborating with other teams to implement data quality standards. These roles are typically project-based and may last from a few weeks to several months.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temporary data quality analyst?

To thrive as a Temporary Data Quality Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a background in data management or a related field. Familiarity with data quality tools (such as Informatica or Talend), SQL, and spreadsheet software is typically required, along with knowledge of data governance standards. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and effective communication set top performers apart in this role. These competencies ensure accurate data validation, enhance data integrity, and support timely decision-making within organizations.

What are some common challenges faced by temporary data quality analysts when integrating into new teams?

Temporary Data Quality Analysts often join teams with established processes and data systems, which can make it challenging to quickly get up to speed. They may need to rapidly learn company-specific data standards, tools, and workflows while building trust with permanent team members. Additionally, they are frequently expected to identify and resolve data inconsistencies within tight deadlines. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for effectively collaborating across departments and ensuring data quality goals are met during their assignment.

Job description

Product Quality Analyst

Remote (U.S.)  •  Las Vegas, NV candidates preferred  •  Full-time

Salary: $125,000 – $135,000 per year, plus benefits

About the Role
Our client is hiring a Product Quality Analyst to help answer two questions on every release: are we building the right thing, and does what we built actually work? It's a role that combines product coordination with hands-on quality assurance, so you'll spend your time both digging into product data and making sure features hold up before they reach users.
If you like working with data and you have the patience to test things thoroughly, this is a good fit. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers throughout the product cycle, and your input will shape both what gets built and how it ships.

Location & Compensation

  • Remote-first: This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in the United States. We have a strong preference for candidates who reside in the Las Vegas, NV area to support occasional on-site team collaboration.
  • Salary range: $125,000 – $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
  • What you need: Reliable high-speed internet and a distraction-minimized workspace.
What You'll Do

Product Analysis

  • Analyze product metrics, user behavior, and adoption data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that inform roadmap and prioritization decisions.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Help design, run, and interpret A/B tests and feature experiments.

Quality Assurance

  • Write, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans across web and/or mobile products.
  • Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to catch defects before release.
  • Log, track, and prioritize bugs, and verify fixes through to resolution.
  • Coordinate the QA process across the team, including test coverage, schedules, and release-readiness sign-off.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work with engineering and product to keep what users need aligned with what actually ships.
  • Serve as a quality and data advocate in planning, standups, and release reviews.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in a product analyst, QA, project coordinator, or closely related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data (SQL, spreadsheets, or analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or Looker).
  • Hands-on QA/testing experience, including writing test cases and using bug-tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Sharp attention to detail paired with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage priorities across both analysis and testing workstreams.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with test automation concepts or tools.
  • Experience in data technology, SaaS, or a related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Why Join
  • Compensation: Pay is competitive and posted up front, with a full benefits package.
  • Flexibility: The team works remotely, with real flexibility in how you structure your day.
  • Impact: You'll have a voice across the whole product cycle, not just at the end of it.
  • People: You'll join a small, collaborative team that cares about doing careful work.
How to Apply

If this sounds like your kind of role, send your resume along with a short note about why it caught your eye. Every application gets reviewed, and we'll reach out to the candidates whose background fits what the team needs.
