Student Programs & Data Coordinator

Friendly House, Inc., is a 501(c) 3 non-profit agency located in Phoenix, Arizona whose primary function is to provide a variety of educational and social service programming aimed at addressing the needs of low-income individuals and families, vulnerable populations and diverse communities. Additionally, Friendly House operates a charter school, Academia del Pueblo, with the mission to provide an academic environment which promotes a culture of high expectations to students from diverse cultures. Friendly House was organized in 1920 as the Phoenix Americanization Committee by a group of Phoenix citizens with the assistance of the United States Department of Education. In our 100-year history, the work of Friendly House has resulted in building resilient communities that are helping to spur economic development, stabilize neighborhoods and revitalize our city.

The Student Programs & Data Coordinator supports the mission of College and Career Readiness Program (TRIO) by managing, analyzing, and reporting student data to ensure program effectiveness and compliance. This role is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and interpreting data related to student participation, academic progress, and program outcomes. Including but not limited to student outreach and enrollment/registration coordination; maintains student records; records and monitors required data into integrated student data base; and manages, expedites, and maintains files, records, and other documents to ensure accurate and complete files throughout the registration process.

The Student Programs & Data Coordinator collaborates with program staff to track performance metrics, generate reports for internal and federal requirements, and identify trends that inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Additionally, the role ensures data accuracy, confidentiality, and alignment with TRIO regulations while supporting student success initiatives through data-driven insights.

Position is Temporary, Part-time

Hourly pay range $17.50- $19.50 an hour

What you'll do

  • Maintaining detailed and complete student records across various areas (e.g. attendance, outreach outcomes, registration, follow up conversations, etc.)
  • Provide information about the program and internal/external community support services by phone, in person, and at community/school outreach events.
  • Maintain and keep records of phone calls, waiting list, eligibility information and other statistical information for the community and the organization.
  • Actively participate in weekly meetings/trainings and other professional learning initiatives.
  • Input student information and maintain current information/database
  • Review and ensure all student information is correct, completed and up-to-date
  • Answer incoming calls, refer to appropriate staff members/take messages or provide program/agency information
  • Perform general office, clerical duties or any program activities assigned by supervisor
  • Contact students or parents as needed
  • Assist with preparation/update of program brochures/flyers and program activities
  • Helps develop and coordinate program activities including the summer program and college/university tours
  • Assist Advisors with projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in data entry, preparing reports, scheduling, and customer service
  • Customer service oriented
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work with people from various backgrounds and support diverse customers
  • Knowledge of computer software, including applications, Microsoft Office products, Internet & electronic communication (e-mail, social networking, etc.)
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • 3+ years of related experience in data tracking and data entry
  • Experience in non-profit and/or client services
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in TRIO/College access programs
  • Ability to multitask, possess strong organization and customer service skills
  • Professional experience conducting program orientations and client outreach/client services
