Position Summary

At Dymin Systems, our Project Engineers are responsible for onboarding new clients and transforming their environments into secure, standardized, and supportable managed IT platforms. This role serves as the technical lead during client transitions, working directly with client stakeholders to implement infrastructure, cloud services, security tools, communications systems, and operational standards.

Project Engineers act as a temporary technical account manager during onboarding, ensuring a smooth client experience while coordinating implementation activities, documenting environments, and preparing clients for long-term support success.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding & Standardization

  • Lead the onboarding of new managed services clients.
  • Assess existing client environments and develop implementation plans.
  • Standardize client systems, configurations, documentation, and processes according to Dymin best practices.
  • Coordinate onboarding projects from kickoff through transition to ongoing support from the Help Desk team.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout the onboarding process.

Infrastructure & Systems Implementation

  • Deploy and configure Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, and related cloud technologies.
  • Configure and manage endpoint management solutions, Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools, and security platforms.
  • Implement application whitelisting, security monitoring, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Provision and configure virtual machines, Azure resources, and server infrastructure.
  • Perform server migrations, upgrades, decommissioning, and offboarding activities.

Network & Communications

  • Configure firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, and networking equipment.
  • Implement and support VoIP systems, IVR programming, phone provisioning, user setup, and mobile device integration.
  • Configure and maintain print management solutions.

Data Protection & Business Continuity

  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Validate backup configurations and recovery processes.
  • Ensure client environments meet security and operational standards.

Application & Device Deployment

  • Onboard and configure line-of-business applications.
  • Deploy and configure workstations and user devices.
  • Perform Microsoft Intune deployments and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Assist with cloud migrations and modernization projects.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

  • Create and maintain detailed client documentation.
  • Document infrastructure, systems, applications, network configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal support teams.
  • Ensure all onboarding deliverables are completed before transitioning clients to ongoing support.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, security, and systems administration.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and endpoint management technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure administration.
  • Experience configuring VoIP platforms.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Microsoft certifications or related technical certifications.

What Success Looks Like

  • New clients are onboarded on time and within scope.
  • Client environments are secure, documented, and standardized.
  • Smooth transition from onboarding to support operations.
  • Positive client onboarding experience and strong communication throughout projects.
  • Accurate documentation and knowledge transfer for long-term support success.
