About the Position
Biorecovery Group is seeking a Crime Scene Cleanup & Biohazard Remediation Technician to join our growing emergency response team.
Our technicians provide professional crime scene cleanup, trauma scene cleanup, biohazard remediation, blood cleanup, unattended death cleanup, hoarding cleanup, infectious disease decontamination, and other specialized environmental cleaning services. We help families, businesses, and communities recover after some of life's most difficult situations.
No prior crime scene cleanup experience is required. We provide comprehensive training and industry certifications covering biohazard remediation, bloodborne pathogens, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety compliance, and trauma scene cleanup procedures.
This position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in restoration, construction, demolition, emergency services, EMS, military service, environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial work, or related hands-on fields.
What You'll Do

  • Respond to emergency calls involving biohazards, trauma scenes, unattended deaths, hoarding situations, and other hazardous environments.
  • Perform crime scene cleanup, biohazard cleanup, decontamination, demolition, and remediation activities.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety protocols.
  • Document and photograph job sites before, during, and after remediation.
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
  • Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and discretion when interacting with clients during difficult circumstances.
  • Travel as needed to assist with emergency response projects throughout Texas and neighboring states.

Qualifications
  • Availability for on-call emergency-response and travel on short notice for multiple days.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in challenging environments and around unpleasant sights, odors, and contaminants.
  • Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and company protocols.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Previous experience in restoration, demolition, construction, cleaning, remediation, EMS, firefighting, military service, or related fields is a plus.
Compensation
Compensation ranges from $20-$30 per hour, including hourly pay, and performance-based bonuses. Top performers have opportunities for increased earnings and advancement into supervisory roles.
