Description:

The Accounting Specialist will support the goals and effective functioning of the AR, AP, Credit and other Accounting teams by preparing, entering, and maintaining data and documents necessary for the accurate recording of AP and AR activities, and by supporting the various needs of the Finance Department team at large. Success in this position is defined by a team-first attitude, superb communication skills, and attention to detail.


This Accounting Specialist position is a full time 3-month temporary-to-hire position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role upon successful completion of the temporary assignment. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Hillsboro, Oregon, or be willing and able to commute to the Hillsboro office on a regular basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preparatory work for AR and AP data entry tasks as requested by management
  • Process AP and AR invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Perform research or reconciliation assistance as needed to support team efforts
  • Process customer credit applications and Lien documents
  • Support the collections effort by making contact, tracking information, and reporting details
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor records in the accounting system
  • Contribute to accounting team projects and improvement initiatives as required
  • Assist with other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Direct experience with accounts receivable, data entry, or other accounting functions.
  • Experience with complex data systems, aptitude for new and uncommon software, and proficiency with common data tools such as Excel.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
