Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to Baby Friendly guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care for patients during labor and delivery.
  • Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and support teams.
  • Assist in the care of newborns and educate families on postpartum care.
  • Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery; preferred 3 years.
  • Current RN license and relevant certifications (NRP, EFM, ACLS, STABLE).
  • Experience with patient ratios of 1:3-4.
  • Must be willing to float between like units as needed.
