Job description

Our close client for over the last 15 years, one of the world''s most influential science-led companies, is looking to add a Network Engineer to their team immediately. They are a global powerhouse operating across 170+ countries, keeping the world''s food safer, water cleaner, and energy systems more efficient. Trusted by Fortune 500 food manufacturers, five-star hotels, and leading hospitals, our client sits at the intersection of sustainability and essential infrastructure and when things have to work, the world calls them.

We''re now looking for a talented Network Engineer to join their team, a spot that''s opened up because the person who held it just got promoted. That''s not a coincidence, it''s a pattern. If you want to do meaningful work inside a high-performing team that genuinely invests in its people, this is where you do it.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support core network hardware and software including Cisco Catalyst (9200/9300) and Nexus switches, ISR/ASR routers, and Palo Alto firewalls ensuring reliable day to day performance across the environment
  • Troubleshoot network issues as they arise, including connectivity problems, VLAN misconfigurations, IP conflicts, and latency using standard diagnostic tools to resolve efficiently and minimize impact
  • Handle routing and switching tasks across the data network, including VLAN management, trunking, and working with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
  • Manage DNS and DHCP services, covering IP assignment, scope management, and resolution issues to keep the network running cleanly
  • Support wireless infrastructure including Cisco access points and basic wireless controller administration
  • Assist with network upgrades and project delivery, including hardware refreshes, site rollouts, and SD-WAN initiatives, contributing hands-on support without leading projects independently
  • Collaborate with network engineers, infrastructure teams, and field technicians to coordinate and execute deployments, ensuring hardware is installed and configured correctly from day one

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of Cisco networking experience - Catalyst, Nexus switches, and Cisco Wireless experience required
  • Experience in day-to-day network operations, administration, and support
  • Eager, energetic, life long learner excited to grow professionally within Network Engineering
  • Solid routing & switching fundamentals, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP (not all required, but the more the better)
  • DNS, DHCP, and IPAM experience
  • Palo Alto firewall experience (preferred)
  • Wireless networking experience
  • VoIP exposure in any capacity - Cisco VoIP is a nice to have
  • SD-WAN experience strongly preferred
  • SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tool familiarity

Perks of the role:

  • Company sponsored trainings, workshops, and learning opportunities
  • Long term stability and opportunities for professional growth
  • Reimbursement for certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
  • Small, supportive, hands on team with supportive and collaborative leadership
