Job description

Job Title: Construction General LaborerJob Description

We are seeking hardworking, dependable Construction General Laborers to support the General Contractor team on a large commercial construction project expected to run until at least November. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to the overall success of a construction site. Laborers will play a critical role in maintaining site cleanliness, supporting the superintendent and subcontractors, and ensuring daily operations run efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general construction labor duties throughout the jobsite.
  • Conduct site cleanup activities including removing debris, trash, scrap materials, and excess construction materials.
  • Clean and maintain buildings, offices, trailers, break areas, and common workspaces.
  • Break down pallets, organize materials, and dispose of waste in designated containers.
  • Operate an industrial sweeper and assist with maintaining clean walkways and work areas.
  • Move tools, equipment, jobsite materials, and supplies throughout the project as needed.
  • Assist the superintendent and project management team with miscellaneous tasks.
  • Assist with setting up and tearing down temporary fencing, barricades, signage, and safety equipment.
  • Help maintain safe access routes and clear pathways for crews and equipment operators.
  • Monitor jobsite conditions and report safety concerns to supervision.
  • Safely navigate active construction areas while following all site safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion.
Essential Skills
  • General labor and site cleanup experience.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable using ladders, lifts, and basic hand tools.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous construction, landscaping, farm, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Experience in concrete, carpentry, solar, roofing, drywall, farming, landscaping, and equipment operation or repair is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
