What is a temporary Cone Health RN?

A Temporary Cone Health RN is a registered nurse employed by Cone Health on a short-term or contract basis. These nurses perform the same essential duties as permanent RNs, such as providing patient care, administering medication, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Temporary RNs often help fill staffing gaps or cover for leaves of absence, and may work in various departments based on the hospital’s needs. Their assignments can vary in length, but they are typically not permanent positions and may offer flexible scheduling.

What can I expect in terms of team integration and support as a temporary Cone Health RN?

As a Temporary RN at Cone Health, you will typically join a dynamic team of full-time and contract healthcare professionals. While you may need to adapt quickly to new settings, Cone Health fosters a collaborative environment where team members support each other, regardless of employment status. Orientation and mentorship are commonly provided to ensure you understand workflows and patient care protocols. Open communication and teamwork are highly valued, so you can expect to work closely with physicians, other nurses, and allied health staff to deliver excellent patient care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temporary Cone Health RN, and why are they important?
