Labcorp seeks a Director, Core Automated Testing to lead laboratory operations in Indianapolis, IN.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide managerial leadership to the local department staff and oversee day‑to‑day delivery of testing services.
- Drive overall performance and ensure timely, high‑quality service delivery, meeting established quality measures and responding to quality issues promptly.
- Communicate goals and strategy to department teams and coordinate activities with Global Laboratory Support, Expended Services, and other functional areas.
- Monitor and report performance against targets and global standards, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining production and non‑production standards.
- Participate in client visits, audits, and inquiries; support Six Sigma and other process improvement initiatives.
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain senior management personnel; evaluate personnel performance and maintain an adequately staffed workforce.
- Ensure client satisfaction through relationship management, quality testing, and timely contractual execution; support marketing and sales on client‑specific testing requests.
- Support regional strategy, serve as primary contact for the discipline in the region, harmonize practices across sites, and oversee regional metrics and audit findings.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or biological, chemical, or physical science.
- Six (6) or more years of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Four (4) or more years of management experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory automation, system software, Microsoft applications, and statistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science.
- At least two (2) years of post‑baccalaureate laboratory experience equivalent to an ASCP‑certified medical technologist.
- Experience working at a director level with a doctoral background.

- Attention to detail and ability to interpret scientific data.
- Demonstrated problem‑prevention and corrective action skills.
- Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
- Computer literate; ability to work in a laboratory environment.
- Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens and hazardous chemicals; compliance with laboratory safety protocols.
- Willingness to work weekend hours and bank holidays as required.
- Approximately 5% travel.
- Immunization and screening may be required per country regulations.
