Start Date: Monday, August 10
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM Start
Duration: Approximately 1 Week with Potential for Permanent Hire
Pay: $18.00/hour DOE
Position Overview
Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking dependable Construction Laborers with hands-on construction experience to assist with a commercial kitchen installation project in South Bend, IN.
This position involves much more than unloading trucks. Candidates will assist with installing commercial countertops, moving equipment into place, reading tape measures, assembling fixtures, and supporting experienced installers throughout the project.
The right individual may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time traveling installation position with the client.
Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial kitchen equipment and countertop installations
- Read and accurately use a tape measure
- Move and position commercial equipment and materials
- Assemble tables, shelving, and other fixtures
- Uncrate equipment and remove packaging materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow directions from the onsite supervisor
- Work safely while maintaining production schedules
Requirements
- Previous construction experience required
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PPE Requirements
- Hard Hat (site dependent)
- Safety Glasses
- High-Visibility Shirt or Vest
- Work Gloves
- Steel-Toe Boots
All tools will be provided by the client.
Opportunity
This project is expected to last approximately one week. Outstanding performers may be offered a permanent traveling installation position with the client following successful completion of the assignment.
