Job Description Toolmaker Stone Bridge Personnel Location: Fort Worth, TX Pay: $35.00 per hour (paid weekly) Experience Required: 3+ Years About the Opportunity Stone Bridge Personnel is seeking an experienced Toolmaker for a growing advanced manufacturing company in Fort Worth, TX. This is a hands-on role supporting production, engineering, and tooling operations by designing, building, modifying, and repairing precision tooling and custom-machined components used in manufacturing and prototype development. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges and enjoys helping build a world-class machine shop

Candidates with experience establishing machine shop processes, tooling organization, equipment, workflows, and best practices are highly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities COAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Set up and operate manual lathes, manual mills, and surface grinders to manufacture precision tooling and custom components. Set up and operate CNC machining equipment for production and prototype work.

Build, modify, repair, and maintain tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and other precision-machined components. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop prototype tooling and manufacturing solutions. Perform precision turning, milling, drilling, boring, tapping, threading, grinding, and finishing operations.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement repairs or design improvements.

Assist in establishing machine shop standards, tooling inventory, preventive maintenance programs, workflows, and shop organization. Maintain tooling documentation and work orders. Keep the machine shop clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards.

Qualifications Required 3-5+ years of experience as a Toolmaker, Precision Machinist, or Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Strong experience operating manual lathes and manual milling machines. Hands-on experience with precision surface grinding.

Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment. Ability to machine complex parts to tight tolerances. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.

Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including: Micrometers Calipers Dial indicators Height gauges Bore gauges Excellent mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience helping establish, organize, or expand a machine shop is highly preferred. Experience working in coal, mining, power generation, or other heavy industrial environments is strongly preferred.
