Job description

Renown Health and University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are recruiting a Board Eligible/Board Certified Headache Neurology Physician to join our growing and well-supported Neurosciences Institute within our Neurology Section of the Department of Medicine.
The Headache specialist will diagnose, manage and treat complex, chronic, and debilitating headache disorders. Ideal candidate will be motivated to establish and grow a dedicated Headache program to help patients move beyond temporary symptom relief to improve patients' quality of life through individualized, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary care.
Key responsibilities will include conducting in-depth evaluations and provide comprehensive diagnoses; collaborate with their colleagues taking a multidisciplinary approach to stop headaches and future attacks; be an advocate for patient education to empower them to manage their symptoms with trigger identification and expand complex headache management by being able to identify lifestyle, environmental, and hormonal triggers.
The Neurologist will have the opportunity to conduct clinical trials as well as teach Residents and Medical Students from University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine as part of their practice.
The Institute for Neurosciences at Renown Regional is a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level III accredited Epilepsy laboratory.

  • Outpatient only; flexible schedule options - 5 days; 4/10s or 3/12s
