  • Texas Residential Appliance Installer License (RAIL Certified)

What You'll Be Doing
Diagnose & Repair Pool Equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install:
    • Pumps
    • Filters
    • Heaters
    • Automation systems
    • Timers
    • Pool lighting
    • Plumbing systems
    • Electrical components
    • Sanitation systems
Be the Technical Expert
  • Diagnose root-cause equipment issues
  • Program and configure automation systems
  • Perform system setup, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Deliver long-term repair solutions instead of temporary fixes
Work Independently in the Field
  • Manage your repair schedule efficiently
  • Maintain accurate service records using mobile apps and software
  • Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
  • Maintain organized truck inventory, tools, and equipment
Deliver Excellent Customer Service
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair recommendations and solutions
  • Build trust through professionalism, quality workmanship, and clear communication
  • Represent Patriot Pool & Spa with a customer-first mindset

What We're Looking For
  • Active Texas Residential Appliance Installer License (RAIL) required
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing pool equipment and systems
  • Strong troubleshooting ability with pumps, heaters, plumbing, automation, and electrical systems
  • Experience with equipment setup, programming, and installations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and service software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving history (minimum 3 years)
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience with Pentair, Hayward, or Jandy systems
  • Heater diagnostics and automation programming experience
  • Commercial pool equipment experience
  • Plumbing or electrical trade background
  • CPO Certification
  • Previous repair route experience

What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
  • Driving between customer locations in a company vehicle
  • Diagnosing and solving equipment issues independently
  • Working outdoors in Texas heat and varying weather conditions
  • Using mobile technology and communication tools throughout the day
  • Safely handling electrical systems, hand tools, power tools, and pool equipment
  • Lifting equipment and materials regularly throughout the workday
