Pastry Production / Viennoiserie Production Chef

The Baker’s Table – Santa Ynez, CA

Pay:  $25–$35 per hour DOE

Job Type:  Full-time

The Baker’s Table is an artisan bakery and café in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. We specialize in handcrafted breads, naturally leavened loaves, laminated pastries, croissants, desserts, and custom cakes made from scratch using traditional techniques and premium ingredients.

We’re looking for an experienced pastry professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and producing exceptional work every day. If you enjoy working with a team that values quality and hospitality, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Produce croissants and other laminated pastries to a consistently high standard
  • Prepare and decorate custom cakes with clean, professional finishes
  • Produce pastries, desserts, cookies, and seasonal specialties
  • Follow established recipes and production schedules
  • Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Assist with new seasonal menu items
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry kitchen
  • Work collaboratively with the bakery production team

Required Qualifications

Professional pastry experience is required.

Applicants must have:

  • Professional pastry production experience
  • Cake decorating experience
  • Croissant or viennoiserie production experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
  • Weekend availability
  • Early morning availability

Experience with artisan breads or naturally leavened products is a plus.
