Description
Come join the Basin Harbor team as we celebrate our 140th year - a milestone we're honored to celebrate with our cherished community. We have plenty in store, from new experiences and enhancements to time-honored traditions that continue to make this lakeside retreat so special!
We are now accepting applications for Boat Drivers for our upcoming season.
The Boat Driver is responsible for operating and maneuvering vessels on waterways, ensuring the safety of our guests on Lake Champlain. Key responsibilities include:
Navigating and operating boats safely, including small pleasure craft and larger group vessels.
Maintaining and doing small repairs boats, ensuring they are in good condition for safe operation.
Overseeing loading and unloading of passengers and cargo, while adhering to safety regulations.
Communicating effectively with passengers and other crew members to ensure a smooth experience.
Performing routine maintenance and inspections of the boat, including checking fuel and water levels.
This role may also involve operating sunset cruises and providing commentary during trips.
Requirements

Current CPR and first aid certification preferred. Employees must maintain a clean, well kept, professional appearance. As well, shift work may be long and varied, including evening and weekends, required full-shift walking and standing. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently.
Basin Harbor conducts pre-employment criminal background and reference checks on all employees.
