1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:The Head of Digital Assets is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise-wide digital assets product strategy within Enterprise Payments. This executive will lead the evaluation, development, commercialization, and governance of digital asset capabilities that support Truist's growth strategy across Wholesale, Commercial, and Corporate Banking clients.
The role serves as the primary business leader for emerging payment technologies including blockchain-based payments, tokenized deposits, stablecoin settlement, digital identity, programmable payments, digital custody partnerships, and other next-generation financial infrastructure. Working closely with Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Enterprise Payments Product teams, the Head of Digital Assets will translate market opportunities into scalable, client-centric solutions that enhance Truist's position as a leading payments provider.
The successful leader combines deep payments expertise, strategic vision, regulatory knowledge, and product leadership experience to develop differentiated solutions that create client value while operating within Truist's risk framework.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and execute a multi-year Digital Assets roadmap aligned with Enterprise Payments strategy.
2. Monitor industry developments across blockchain, tokenization, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins, digital identity, and emerging payment rails.
3. Establish strategic priorities and investment recommendations for digital asset capabilities.
4. Serve as the executive thought leader on future-state payments innovation.
5. Build and manage a portfolio of digital asset products and capabilities.
6. Establish product vision, market opportunity assessments, business cases, and commercialization strategies.
7. Drive product lifecycle management from concept through implementation and scale.
8. Partner with sales teams to translate client needs into product enhancements.
9. Identify opportunities to improve treasury, liquidity, settlement, and cross-border payment capabilities.
10. Represent Truist at industry conferences, consortiums, and market forums.
11. Develop Truist's external digital assets narrative and market positioning.
12. Evaluate strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisition opportunities.
13. Lead due diligence and vendor selection processes for digital asset solutions.
14. Ensure all initiatives align with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk standards.
15. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Information Security, and Audit functions.
16. Develop governance frameworks supporting digital asset innovation.
17. Maintain awareness of evolving federal and state regulatory requirements.
18. Partner closely with Enterprise Technology to define architecture and capability requirements.
19. Align stakeholders across Enterprise Payments, Merchant Services, Commercial Card, Corporate Banking, and Wholesale Banking.
20. Lead cross-functional working groups focused on emerging payments innovation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
2. 15+ years of experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or product management.
3. 10+ years leading product teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
4. Demonstrated experience developing payments, treasury, fintech, or digital financial products.
5. Experience leading executive-level stakeholder engagement and strategic initiatives.
6. Experience managing large-scale transformations and commercialization efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
2. Deep expertise in blockchain technology, distributed ledger systems, tokenization, or digital asset ecosystems.
3. Experience with stablecoin, tokenized deposit, cross-border payment, or real-time payment solutions.
4. Knowledge of payment networks, treasury management solutions, and liquidity products.
5. Experience working with financial regulators and compliance organizations.
6. Track record of launching innovative financial products at scale.
7. Industry participation in digital asset working groups, consortiums, or standards bodies
