Job description

Summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of systems while supporting business-critical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure, including on-prem servers, cloud platforms, and SaaS systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability
  • Monitor system health across hybrid environments using enterprise monitoring and observability tools; proactively identify and resolve issues before business impact
  • Respond to alerts related to hardware, software, cloud services, and SaaS platforms that are experiencing failures, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues reported by users, applications, and monitoring systems across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments
  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, as well as cloud-based infrastructure and services, in accordance with standards and operational requirements
  • Administer and support SaaS platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365 and other business applications), including configuration, access management, and issue resolution
  • Perform ongoing security monitoring across infrastructure, cloud, and SaaS platforms, including identity systems and access controls
  • Perform and validate backup and disaster recovery operations across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring data integrity and adherence to retention policies
  • Recommend and implement improvements to systems, network configurations, and hybrid architecture, including cloud adoption and SaaS optimization
  • Assist the Service Desk team on escalated tickets pertaining to servers, network, storage, cloud services, SaaS platforms, and remote sites
  • Document processes and procedures for routine operations and newly developed workflows across hybrid environments
  • Manage IT infrastructure and cloud projects end-to-end, including planning, vendor coordination, scheduling, implementation, and testing
  • Participate in patch management, capacity planning, and lifecycle management of infrastructure and cloud resources
  • Perform other job duties as required by Management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8 -10 years of experience working in infrastructure engineering or a similar role
  • Experience with hybrid environments integrating on-prem and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Omnissa Horizon, Hyper-V, Azure, AVD)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise storage solutions (SAN, Dell Unity/PowerScale, Isilon/PowerStore)
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS access portal, AWS IAM Identity Center, AWS Control Tower
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 (Office 365) environments
  • Experience administering SaaS platforms and enterprise cloud applications
  • Experience with identity and access management solutions (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO, MFA)
  • Working knowledge of switching and routing using Cisco CLI
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including networking, security, connectivity, and platform services across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam, Cohesity
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and/or macOS systems
  • Experience with endpoint and device management tools (e.g., Intune, MDM solutions) is a plus

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $130,000 - $146,500 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
