Job Summary Castalia Systems is currently searching for an Azure Infrastructure Support (O&M Cloud Engineer) Tech 3 to join our team. Roles and Responsibilities A qualified candidate will provide expertise in Azure infrastructure including but not limited to: * Support and maintain Linux and Windows air-gapped environments supporting mission-critical systems. * Design, implement, administer, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure to support secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise environments. * Manage Azure resources and cloud services while ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices. * Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration. * Create and maintain standardized machine images using Packer to support repeatable, secure, and automated infrastructure deployments. * Design, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to deliver complex software solutions into production environments. * Continue development and maintenance of automated software build and deployment processes utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). * Support cloud-hosted DevOps platforms within Microsoft Azure that enable rapid software development and secure software delivery. * Review, automate, and optimize workload deployments to support customer-specific mission requirements, including enabling multi-program workload consumption on shared infrastructure. * Collaborate with software developers and engineering teams to provide infrastructure support, improve deployment processes, and resolve application integration issues. * Deploy applications across development, test, and production environments while troubleshooting deployment failures, configuration issues, and release-related problems. * Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, automation, networking, and application issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability. * Provide operational support for production environments and coordinate issue resolution with Service Desk and engineering teams as required. * Implement infrastructure automation and process improvements that increase scalability, consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency while reducing manual effort. * Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with DoD, customer, and industry security standards. * Lead, plan, design, and implement backlog tasks, including component upgrades, feature enhancements, and defect remediation. * Support change management activities by preparing and submitting required configuration management documentation. * Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers while fostering engineering best practices. * Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps processes. * Work collaboratively within a technically diverse team while demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic mission environment. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, plus 3+ years of technical leadership experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. * 5-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure utilizing Microsoft Azure and/or AWS. * Expert-level Linux administration experience supporting enterprise CI/CD environments across multiple distributions (Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, etc.). * Experience supporting Windows Server environments within hybrid or cloud infrastructures. * Demonstrated experience administering Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps. * Strong understanding of networking concepts, security architecture, and cloud security controls. * Experience designing, implementing, and administering Git repositories and source control infrastructure. * 5+ years supporting classified SCI environments. * Advanced experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), YUM repositories, and ACAS Automation. * Experience managing air-gapped Linux update infrastructures. * Demonstrated ability to develop automation solutions and scripting from scratch supporting cloud infrastructure, systems administration, and CI/CD pipelines. * Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting. * Hands-on experience with Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies. * Experience creating and maintaining machine images using Packer. * Experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. * Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, Kubernetes, and application deployment environments. * Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, troubleshooting methodologies, and engineering solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Demonstrated experience supporting application deployments, developer enablement, and production operations. * Experience designing scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud architectures. * DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher) required upon start. Preferred Qualifications: * 5-8 years leadership experience in relevant area of business. * Technical certifications in Azure. * Experience with either Bash or Python scripting are desired but not required.
