Job description

This is a full-time on-site position located in Carlsbad, CA. The Interior Designer will collaborate with the design team to conceptualize, plan, and execute innovative interior spaces. Responsibilities include developing space plans, creating and reviewing construction drawings, selecting FF&E, art and accessories, and ensuring designs comply with architectural and structural requirements. The role also involves coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure project timelines and standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in space planning and devising functional layouts
  • Experience with construction drawings and understanding of architectural fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Interior Design, including conceptual development and detail-oriented execution
  • Knowledge in selecting and coordinating FF&E elements to align with project aesthetics
  • Excellent project management and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior design, architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in residential or commercial interior design

Responsibilities include design and selection of materials, furnishings, artwork and accessories working within a specified budget and design scheme. The candidate must be able to travel out of town to manage week-long installations as needed. Must be a self-starter who is organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and handle frequently changing priorities.
