Temporary positions are often needed when shops experience high demand, have large projects, or need to cover employee absences. Workers in these jobs must have skills in auto body repair techniques, safety practices, and attention to detail. What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a temporary auto body collision technician?

To thrive as a Temporary Auto Body Collision Technician, you need foundational skills in automotive repair, bodywork, and painting, often supported by vocational training or relevant certifications. Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as frame straightening machines, spray booths, and estimating software like CCC ONE is typically required. Additionally, temporary roles may involve handling a wide range of repair tasks, from minor dents to more complex structural work, sometimes with limited time to complete them.
