Job description

Under the direction of the Sr VP Marketing & Communications, the Sr Multi Media Specialist works in partnership with the Marketing & Communications department to develop and oversee all aspects of video production, in-house television production and content programming, education based web development, print, graphic design, photography, audio and A/V equipment support. Production is focused toward the development of appropriate and effective healthcare multi-media materials for public education, patient education, general staff training, clinical education, resident training, social media, and public relations messages. The Sr Multi Media Specialist demonstrates advanced competence in all aspects of audio/visual production. This position is responsible for maintaining a professional level of service to the organization including recommendation of appropriate equipment, budgeting, inventory, and innovative processes to streamline and enhance product and service.
Annual Salary Range: $68,307.20 - $109,283.20
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Multi Media Production, Communication, Media Technology, Video or related field required, or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible media production experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Prefer five (5) years experience in producing educational or healthcare media.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Competency with Adobe CS4 Suite, MS Office, Windows and Flash media servers, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript and ActionScript.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented. Must have a working knowledge of appropriate software and equipment and all stages of video production, video distribution, IPTV delivery, print design, graphic design, still photography, and web development.
  • An understanding of budgeting is desirable.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
