Join Solomon Group’s Live Events team creating high-profile one-of-a-kind events and experiences. Whether planning and executing exceptional custom brand activations or large-scale fan events, the team provides innovative productions, best-in-class consumer engagement, and world-class fan experiences. Solomon Group Live Events team is responsible for all aspects of the live events, including concepting and ideation, budgeting, production and operations, activation execution, and fulfilling on-air look-ins and integrations. The group also works closely with sponsors and activation agencies to ensure seamless partner integration into the events. In the past year, the team has produced events, fan experiences, and activations at NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Four, Super Bowl, World Cup, NFL Draft, College Football Playoff, NHL Winter Classic, MLB All Star, and Essence Festival.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Producer will lead and support events across Solomon Group's portfolio, overseeing the full event lifecycle from planning and budgeting through execution and post-event reconciliation. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and managing budgets, creating site plans, overseeing RFPs, managing vendors, building event documentation, leading event teams, and solving operational challenges as they arise. Success in this role requires strong event management expertise, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors and partners, lead client calls, respond quickly to partner needs, and seamlessly integrate activations into event plans.

One of the position’s primary responsibilities will be serving as the Producer / Event Manager for the NCAA Men’s Final Four Fan Fest, the premier destination for fans of all ages to experience the excitement of Men’s Final Four with 400,000 sq feet of basketball courts, sponsored activities, autograph signings, team merchandise, concessions, pep rallies and giveaways throughout the weekend. The Producer / Event Manager will lead the event team on a day-to-day basis and will work closely with the production and sponsorship teams on all aspects of the event.

The position will also provide critical support across other Solomon Group events by serving as a lead producer and/or supporting team members throughout the year.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event and Project Management

  • Lead and support the planning and execution of consumer-facing live events as both a project lead and collaborative member of a cross-functional events team
  • Manage projects from initial concept development through execution, post-event, reconciliation, and final report
  • Serve as a trusted leader, effectively managing internal and external stakeholders while fostering a collaborative, team-first environment.
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary project teams that include full-time staff, freelancers, and vendors
  • Develop and manage project timelines, key milestones, budgets, staffing plan, and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups on partnerships, legal, finance, marketing, and programming
  • Communicate effectively through client presentations, project meetings, and production calls
  • Build and maintain strong local relationships while coordinating with city officials, public safety agencies, permitting offices, and other municipal partners
  • Develop, track, and reconcile event budgets
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions, developing RFP responses, conducting research, and supporting creative event activations across multiple projects

  • Confidently lead client calls and provide clear direction and expertise

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of event, client management and brand activation experience
  • Proven experience executing large-scale events and activations of at least $1M, including vendor and budget management
  • Extensive work directly with sponsors, venues, contractors, and vendors
  • Experience building presentations and presenting in a group setting
  • Ability to multitask and be highly productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, remain resourceful and self-directed, and proactively seek clarification when needed
  • Applicants should be comfortable being on video for virtual meetings, respond promptly to correspondence, and provide regular updates to key stakeholders on assigned projects.
  • Understanding of event production and operations, including scheduling and multifaceted nature of large-scale events
  • Proven experience forecasting, managing and reconciling program budgets
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to a variety of event environments
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including MS Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25 – 35>#span class="MsoCommentReference"###[SG1] of the year, including weekend and holidays
