Job description

This is a temporary position where the Associate will be responsible for building grills, assembling furniture, as well as being a Driver Helper.
Job Functions
  • Full assembly of grills and patio furniture that is for delivery to our customers.
  • Wrapping and Covering of grills & furniture for safe storage after assembly.
  • Cleaning and Polishing of grills & furniture to be ready for delivery to customer.
  • Pickup and delivery between stores (transfers) and maintain appropriate documentation for this safety sensitive position.
  • Pick-up and delivery to customers; must maintain company standards of customer service at all times.
  • Always represent the company in a positive manner.
  • Must immediately inform supervisor of any issues with stores, company vehicles or equipment when they arise.
  • Participate in all company safety training.
  • Load and Unload freight, containers, and trailers; including carrying out to sales floor.
  • Be "customer ready" whenever you are on the stage/sales floor
  • Uphold cleanliness standards (including, but not limited to, refraining from smoking in any Company-provided vehicle) in vehicles and work areas.
  • Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and warehousing area clean and organized.
  • Be alert for possible merchandise losses. Protect all company assets and report any missing or damaged merchandise to your supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks as asked by warehouse members, store management, or support staff.
  • Check condition of box(es) to ensure that there is no damage
  • Load and unload cargo, or help others with loading and unloading.
  • Load and unload containers.
  • Help other co-workers with unloading and loading.
  • Read transport documents to determine assignment details.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to vehicles.
  • Perform any other duty as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and their usage.
  • Must have good hand eye coordination.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a team and assist others.

Ability to reach and maintain prescribed productivity levels for assembly.
