We are hiring (1) Part-time, Temporary Position(s)

  • This temporary position will end October 31, 2026, the scheduled hours for this position will be 20 hours per week.

  • Part-time employees are paid hourly; the monthly salary will be prorated (the salary range listed in the job announcement applies to full-time positions).

  • Part-time employees are eligible for benefits and holiday pay on a prorated basis, according to their work schedule.

Summary of Duties

As a Temporary Lodging Assistant, you will:

  • Stay with and supervise children throughout the day or night in temporary lodging and transport them to different destinations as needed.

  • Focus on in-home safety planning and prevention, when not in temporary lodging, by providing detailed documentation, support, engagement, and promptly reporting any concerns.

  • Review and implement supervisory and safety plans, while also supporting their behavior and emotional needs. Maintain care for children related to hygiene, basic needs, school attendance, appointments, and transportation.

  • Treat people with compassion and dignity, ensuring that children and family members feel respected and valued.

Minimum Qualifications

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

  • One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; OR

  • An associate degree in any field; OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Attributes

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience working with children and youth in a human services capacity.

  • Builds rapport with children and families through warm, respectful, and strength-based interactions.

  • Experience communicating clearly and respectfully with children, families, caregivers, and professionals across varied cultural and community contexts.

Working Conditions

  • Work will take place in offices, participants' homes, and various community locations.

  • Frequent travel is required for transporting children or families and completing caserelated activities.

  • This is a part-time position; the work schedule will be:

    • Monday - Friday 5 PM - 8 AM, OR

    • 20 hours over the weekend (Saturday - Sunday), Weekend hours may be flexible and will be determined before hire.

  • You may interact with individuals experiencing trauma or emotional distress, and there may be times when individuals have difficulty managing their emotional responses.

  • You may encounter situations requiring quick decisionmaking to ensure your safety or the safety of others.

  • Activities may include traversing stairs, move across uneven terrain, and assisting children (up to 50 pounds) in and out of car seats.
