Make an Impact at The Oregon Clinic! Freelance Opportunity with an Inspiring Purpose
Join us at The Oregon Clinic as a 20-24 hours per week Freelance Marketing Manager (Temporary & Non-Benefited) to support the Gastroenterology department, with a primary focus on increasing colorectal cancer screening volume. In partnership with our Marketing & Communications team, this role will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives that drive patient engagement and conversion.

This is a hands-on role for a professional with extensive experience in both strategic thinking and strong execution. The marketing manager will work closely with Marketing department leadership, internal partners, and external vendors to deliver high-impact, measurable campaigns.
Using excellent customer service, technology, and marketing skills, your primary duties in this role include:
  • Identify data-driven opportunities to improve patient acquisition, engagement, and conversion.
  • Execute integrated campaigns across digital, paid media, content, and community channels.
  • Develop and guide campaign messaging, positioning, and creative direction including sourcing, vetting, and managing vendors for video, animation, and creative production. Oversee production from concept through final delivery, ensuring quality and alignment.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage influencers and community partners.
  • Work with outside vendor to align creative, targeting, and budget across paid, social, and emerging channels.
  • Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
  • Track and manage campaign budgets, including vendors and production costs.
  • Define KPIs for campaigns and initiatives; monitor performance and optimize campaigns based on results.
  • Ensure all partnerships and creative align with brand standards and healthcare compliance guidelines.

Salary:
Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $77.66 - $116.48 per hour.
Workdays: This role is primarily remote, with required onsite meetings each month at our Central Administration Office in Northeast Portland, plus occasional on-site presence as needed. Hybrid/Remote work is available once training is completed and expectations are met. Must live in Portland or SW Washington. Typical hours are part-time (20-24 hours per week), flexible within Monday-Friday and business hours 7:30 am- 5:30 pm.
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience, and values including:
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field is preferred. Relevant professional work experience may be substituted. This position is not intended for entry-level candidates.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of marketing work experience, is strongly preferred. Healthcare marketing is a plus.
  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing creative production (video, animation, digital content).
  • Strong vendor and project management skills.
  • Experience with influencers, partnerships, or community-based marketing.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and performance reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in all work.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with peers, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
