Aircraft Fabrication & Assembly Technician

Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: Tulsa, OK 74116
Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Overtime as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Fabrication & Assembly Technician to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team in Northeast Tulsa. This position is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metallic and non-metallic aircraft components while ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

The ideal candidate has previous aircraft fabrication experience, excellent blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience fabricating and assembling metallic and non-metallic aircraft components
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, engineering drawings, and production plans
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and basic production machinery
  • Strong understanding of aircraft fabrication and assembly practices
  • Ability to work with close tolerances while maintaining quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair detail parts, subassemblies, and complete aircraft assemblies
  • Perform routine and non-routine fabrication tasks according to engineering specifications and work instructions
  • Measure, mark, route, saw, drill, and machine components to required dimensions
  • Operate hand tools and power tools including routers, drills, grinders, and sanders
  • Perform trimming, grinding, deburring, beveling, and polishing operations
  • Assemble components using approved fasteners, adhesives, and installation methods
  • Operate production equipment including presses, shears, drills, and milling machines
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards
  • Support other production departments as needed to meet manufacturing schedules
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or aircraft maintenance
  • Experience working with precision fabrication and assembly processes
  • Familiarity with aviation quality systems and manufacturing documentation
  • Technical or vocational training in aircraft maintenance, fabrication, or manufacturing

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
  • Comfortable working around production machinery and precision manufacturing equipment
