Aquent is partnering with a leading global organization that is transforming how employees access essential information, services, and support. This team is focused on creating clearer, more seamless employee experiences by improving how content is structured, maintained, migrated, and delivered across digital platforms.
We are seeking a Senior Content Operations Editor for a temporary role supporting a large-scale content transformation initiative. In this role, you will help prepare, migrate, validate, and optimize employee-facing and internal support content for a new content management environment. This is a strong fit for someone who combines excellent editing skills with hands-on CMS experience, content operations discipline, and an understanding of structured content for AI-enabled experiences.
This role can be based in either Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA, onsite.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare content for migration by working with content owners to review, update, and align materials to current standards
  • Support content testing and validation to ensure migrated content is accurate, properly structured, and tagged with the correct metadata
  • Transform long-form content into reusable content fragments that can support multiple channels, audiences, and AI-enabled experiences
  • Contribute to content standards by helping develop style guidelines, structure recommendations, and content quality best practices
  • Improve content workflows by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce duplication, and improve content maintenance
  • Manage content projects by coordinating deadlines, tasks, dependencies, stakeholder input, risk escalation, and timely publication
  • Apply taxonomy and metadata standards to support content discovery, reuse, and long-term governance
  • Respond to content update requests within defined timelines while aligning updates to process, policy, and business changes
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across content, product, operations, and business teams

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional content management experience in a CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, or a similar platform
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience managing content for AI applications, AI-enabled experiences, or structured content delivery
  • Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, content structure, and content governance
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong judgment

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience working with reusable or headless content
  • Experience with information architecture and content models
  • Experience supporting global, cross-functional teams
  • Experience in a multi-language publishing environment
  • Demonstrated success learning and explaining business processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with stakeholders
