About the Job
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | 12-Hour Shifts)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist (R. EEG T.) for a temporary night-shift assignment working primarily in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
In this role, you will perform specialized continuous digital EEG monitoring, review and edit inpatient video EEG recordings, and perform Evoked Potential studies (VEP, BAER, SSEP) across inpatient and satellite clinic settings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous digital EEG and long-term video monitoring (review and editing) in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
  • Conduct routine diagnostic EEGs and specialized Evoked Potential studies, including VEP, BAER, and SSEP.
  • Provide occasional coverage for routine outpatient EEG testing at satellite office locations.
  • Maintain high-quality diagnostic tracings, annotate clinical events, and prepare technical summaries for neurologist review.
  • Serve as an occasional clinical preceptor for neurodiagnostic students and trainees.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Certification: Registered EEG Technologist credential through ABRET (R. EEG T.) [REQUIRED]
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in neurodiagnostics or an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) [REQUIRED]
  • Technical Skills: Background in digital EEG systems, inpatient video monitoring review, and Evoked Potentials (VEP, BAER, SSEP) [REQUIRED]
  • Supervised Practice: Completion of at least 2 years of training under a Registered EEG Tech [REQUIRED]
  • Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic / EEG Technology program [PREFERRED]
