JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to be “shift engineer” on all operating boilers and installed hospital equipment, to stand any of the 3-shifts (7am-3pm, 3-11pm, 11pm-7am; 7 days/week), and to respond to in-house problems in support of the hospital and patients.  Responsible for maintenance and repair of all hospital equipment (except Bio-medical) in accordance with established guidelines.  Will also be responsible for Grounds Maintenance and Security as directed.  May be required to work outside in inclement weather (i.e., extreme heat and cold).

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. 5 years facility maintenance experience required.  Three years of experience as “lead” (formal or informal) or supervisor preferred
3. Must possess a minimum of a State of Minnesota “2B” Boiler Operating License and a “1C” Boiler Operating License.
4. Must possess appropriate, valid driver’s license and meet requirements and ability to be covered under Grand Itasca’s automotive insurance policy.
5. Must have good mechanical aptitude, ability and knowledge.
6. Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
7. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
