Job description

Temple University's Office of Enrollment Management is searching for a Student Services Administrator!

Salary Range: $35,600-$51,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary 
The Student Services Administrator (SSA) reports to the Associate Registrar in Enrollment Management and is responsible for processing requests that involve student record maintenance and assisting with other administrative functions. The SSA provides direct customer service to students, parents, alumni, parents, Temple staff and third parties through various channels and serves as a problem-solver, expected to understand the core issue and devise a solution. Utilizes the University's student information system, Team Dynamix, Genesys, and other systems to deliver optimal and timely solutions to service requests within the boundaries of university policies and state and federal regulations. The SSA will also serve as the primary contact for student service requests from other units within the Division of Enrollment Management. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Details 
* This position requires the following background checks: criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting. Cash Handling and Personally Identifiable Information background check. 
* Offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.

Required Education and Experience
* At least three (3) years of directly related customer service experience. 
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree. 
* One year of experience in a university/college records and registration office.
* Experience using a student information system, particularly Ellucian Banner.

Required Skills and Abilities 
* Demonstrated organizational skills and management of multiple tasks and timelines.
* Demonstrated proficiency with assignment organization, priority, and task orientation skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to student records, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
* Ability to work with limited supervision and perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
* Ability to tactfully handle difficult requests/situations and offer alternative solutions.
* Impeccable communication skills.
* Ability to explain complex concepts using easy-to-understand language.
* Strong professional judgement and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to effectively analyze, interpret, and communicate policies, practices, and guidelines with strict attention to detail.
* Ability to identify problems and issues that require special attention.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, such as Grade Point Average and refund calculations.

Preferred Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated technical competency with student information and customer relationship management systems (Ellucian Banner and Team Dynamix).

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
