Job description

This position supports our customer’s nationwide TSCM program with strategic and operational support across various locations, providing essential contributions to safeguarding classified and sensitive information from foreign and domestic threats. This initiative offers an opportunity to contribute to national security through cutting-edge technical and security-focused roles.

The Senior Technical Security Specialist (STSS) will provide technical expertise and operational support for comprehensive Technical Security Programs (TSP), including Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM), Wireless Security (WiSec), Protected Distribution Systems (PDS), and TEMPEST services. Responsibilities include inspections, in-conference security monitoring, pre-construction support, and other security services as required. The STSS ensures compliance with national security policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Positions may be located at multiple sites. Maintaining required security clearances and certifications is mandatory.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active Top Secret/DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility.

Contingent upon award of Contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert, advising personnel on technical security policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Conduct TSCM, WiSec, PDS, and TEMPEST services, inspections, and security monitoring
  • Develop and deliver technical security training in classroom and field environments
  • Support the design, development, and review of technical security measures for facilities
  • Apply procedures to prevent unauthorized access to classified and sensitive information
  • Translate technical requirements to non-technical personnel and communicate effectively to groups of varying sizes
  • Prepare clear and concise reports detailing services performed, security strategies, and protection measures
  • Stay current on national and international developments in security technology and provide briefings and educational materials
  • Perform physically and mentally demanding tasks, including working in confined spaces, at heights, under adverse weather conditions, and with heavy equipment
  • Maintain and acquire certifications required to operate within technical security programs

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in information technology, electronics, security, or a related discipline preferred
  • At least 15 years of combined technical security training and operational experience, including TSCM, TEMPEST, and Counterintelligence programs
  • Graduation or certification from an approved Federal TSCM School required
  • Operational experience with approved national-level TSCM or technical security programs within the last year
  • Strong knowledge of communications, IT systems, physical security devices, intelligence methods, and espionage countermeasures
  • Physical ability to perform required duties, including lifting, climbing, and sustained concentration under challenging conditions
