OVERVIEW
Singer Equipment Company, one of the nation's leading foodservice equipment and supplies dealers, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President, Contracts to lead and scale the Projects Department within our Singer Kittredge division. Reporting directly to the Division President, this role will be instrumental in driving operational performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of projects throughout New England and Upstate New York. The VP will lead the Contract side of the business, which represents 50% of the division's $135 million in revenue.
As the Division President's primary operational partner, the Vice President will help lead the division's continued growth and success by fostering strong relationships with customers, manufacturer representatives, and industry partners. This individual will serve as a trusted resource for team members, a proactive problem-solver, and an effective liaison between the division and corporate leadership, helping to implement company-wide initiatives while maintaining a strong understanding of local market dynamics and customer needs.
The Vice President will oversee all aspects of project execution, including project management, contract administration, procurement coordination, installation oversight, customer satisfaction, and team development. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in commercial foodservice projects, a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, drive operational improvements, and build strong partnerships throughout the Greater Boston and broader Northeast marketplace.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategic Leadership & Growth
  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan to scale the Projects Department and increase market share throughout New England and Upstate New York.
  • Partner with the Division President to identify growth opportunities, expand service capabilities, and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Leverage market intelligence and industry relationships to drive business development efforts and support key pursuits.
  • Establish long-term operational goals aligned with Singer Equipment's strategic objectives.

Operational Excellence
  • Serve as a key enterprise leader in shaping and advancing Singer Equipment's operational strategy, partnering with corporate and divisional leadership to drive process standardization, organizational alignment, continuous improvement, and scalable growth across all project operations nationwide.
  • Lead all project operations to ensure consistent execution, quality, and customer satisfaction across the division.
  • Design, implement, and enforce standardized processes, workflows, reporting structures, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance project profitability.
  • Develop operational metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and drive accountability.

Financial Performance
  • Help lead and manage departmental financial performance, including revenue growth, gross margin improvement, profitability, cash flow management, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, procurement, and project teams to optimize project financial outcomes.
  • Monitor project budgets, contract compliance, change orders, risk management, and cost controls.
  • Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks to ensure financial targets are achieved.

Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, coordinators, contract administrators, and operational leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop top talent while creating succession plans for key leadership positions.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and development pathways across the department.

Innovation & Technology
  • Assist with evaluation and implementation of tools, systems, and processes that support scalable growth.
  • Drive innovation in project delivery methodologies and operational practices.

Customer & Market Leadership
  • Serve as an executive point of contact for key clients, consultants, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Strengthen relationships with architects, foodservice consultants, general contractors, developers, and institutional clients throughout the Northeast.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences from project award through completion.
  • Represent Singer Equipment and Singer Kittredge at industry events, associations, and networking opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial foodservice equipment, construction, project management, or related industries (plumbing, HVAC).
  • Proven experience leading large-scale project operations and managing multi-million-dollar portfolios.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout New England and the Northeast region.

Preferred:
  • Deep understanding of the Greater Boston market and established relationships throughout the Northeast foodservice, construction, and design communities.
  • Experience within foodservice equipment contracting, dealer operations, design-build, or commercial construction environments.
  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Experience leading organizational growth, change management initiatives, and operational transformations.
