Hiring either Assistant Professor (9403) or Instructor (9404)


Applications are invited for part-time adjunct faculty positions in the Master of Engineering program. These adjunct faculty positions are non-tenure-track appointments for fall semester 2026, with possible extension as needed by the department. The primary role of this position is to develop courses and teach in the area of Project Management for the fully asynchronous online Master of Engineering program. A typical appointment would be one or more classes a semester depending on need.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing and teaching courses in project management
  • Demonstrating high command of the subject matter
  • Having well organized course plans and delivering courses clearly to students
  • Helping students fulfill their academic needs
  • Assessing and grading student learning and holding virtual office hours

Qualifications
 

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (assistant professor) or M.S. (instructor) or equivalent in Engineering, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited university
  • One year of relevant teaching experience at the college level (graduate TA experience acceptable) or professional experience in a relevant field
  • Effective written and oral communication skills appropriate to the position
  • Experience using technology for teaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering licensure
  • Two or more years of relevant college-level teaching experience
  • Two or more years of professional experience in a relevant field
  • Terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in a relevant field
  • Expertise in using technology for teaching
  • Demonstrated experience with assessment
  • Evidence of the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
     
Pay and Benefits
 

Pay Range: $5,700 - $8,985 per course; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
