Medlivo is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a local contract job in Topeka, Kansas.

Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery PA
 

University of Kansas Health System – St. Francis Health Center | Kansas

💰 Estimated Pay: $115–$135/hour 
Final rate subject to experience, availability, and facility approval.
 

Position Highlights
  • Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Provider: Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Approximately 2 weeks per month
  • Initial dates: 9/25–9/27 and 10/30–11/1, with additional dates to follow
  • Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
  • EMR: Epic
  • Patients: 2–10 per shift
  • 17-bed ICU
  • Call: 7 days/week coverage; beeper call
  • Call response: 30 minutes
  • Call-back: ~50%
Responsibilities
  • Support the Cardiothoracic Surgery service
  • Inpatient and outpatient patient management
  • Rounding on assigned patients
  • Admissions as needed
  • Participate in scheduled clinical coverage and call
  • Vein harvesting experience required, including proficiency with the Maquet VasoView system
  • Ability to work independently in a busy CT surgery service
Requirements
  • Active Kansas license or IMLC eligibility
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • Hospital/surgical privileges required; temporary privileges available
  • Independent CT surgery/vein harvesting experience preferred
