Job description

Service CoordinatorOverview

We're seeking a Service Coordinator to join a growing team supporting some of the biggest names in the automotive industry, including GM, Ford, Stellantis, Tesla, and other OEM customers.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in customer service, administrative support, account coordination, logistics, supply chain, automotive operations, or automotive manufacturing. The team is especially interested in candidates with automotive manufacturing experience, but individuals with dealership, service advisor, parts, fleet, or other automotive-related backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

This is not a high-volume call center role. Instead, you'll spend your day managing customer orders, working within customer portals, communicating with internal teams, and helping ensure products are delivered on time.

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with customers while learning new systems, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily customer shipments and order activity through multiple customer portals.
  • Review electronic orders and overnight updates and communicate changes to internal teams.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating quotes, lead times, and capacity information.
  • Monitor customer orders and shipment requirements to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments regarding order changes and updates.
  • Submit and manage disputes, shortages, and logistics issues.
  • Coordinate with project managers, scheduling, production, shipping, and customer service teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and update customer information within various systems.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of customer service, administrative support, account coordination, or client-facing experience.
  • Experience working in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with customer portals, ERP systems, MRP systems, or order management systems preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and customer-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive manufacturing, supplier, dealership, service, or parts experience.
  • Experience supporting OEM customers such as GM, Ford, Stellantis, Tesla, or similar organizations.
  • SAP or other ERP system experience.
  • Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, production scheduling, customer releases, or shipping coordination.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

Schedule & Work Environment
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Every other weekend support required after training
    • Quick morning review of customer portal activity
    • Can be completed remotely
    • If a shipment issue is identified, you'll communicate the expected delivery date
  • Collaborative team environment with strong opportunities for growth and development
  • Additional learning and training resources available after six months

Why Join Us?
  • Work directly with some of the largest automotive manufacturers in North America.
  • Gain exposure to customer account management, logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing operations.
  • Learn multiple customer systems and industry-leading processes.
  • Join a team-oriented environment with opportunities for long-term career growth.

If you have experience in automotive manufacturing, automotive operations, customer service, logistics, supply chain, or account coordination, we'd love to connect and tell you more about this opportunity.
