Job description

Overview

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is a leading engineering and contracting firm that provides specialty services and proprietary products to the commercial, public, transportation, industrial, and power markets. As part of Structural Group, the company focuses on strengthening and extending the life of infrastructure, including bridges, water and wastewater tanks, and other critical structures.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a dedication to safety and quality control, providing leadership to field teams.
  • Plan and execute self‑performed complex civil and commercial construction projects such as bridge inspection and repair, post‑tensioning installation and repair, and structural strengthening on new and existing projects.
  • Prepare and implement contracts, negotiate revisions, and work with internal contract teams.
  • Develop and manage project schedules in collaboration with field leadership and clients.
  • Maintain project profit & loss responsibility and other financial reporting, including projections, budgets, cost to complete, and change orders.
  • Oversee buyouts of permanent and temporary materials, equipment rental, drawing and work plan submittals, and subcontractor management.
  • Provide strong leadership and direct supervision to project teams—including other Project Managers, Field Managers, Project Engineers, field crews, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate closely with in‑house Estimators and Sales teams to review bids and develop proposals.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • 3‑8 years of relevant civil construction industry experience.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects in the range of $1Million – $10Million in contract value.
  • Previous experience managing heavy civil or post‑tensioned projects that include structural concrete placement, beam erection, structural strengthening, CFRP installation or similar activities.
  • Strong knowledge of computer‑based programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HCSS, MS Project or Primavera P6, Procore, and other project management and forecasting tools.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others.
  • Travel expectation of 20‑25% as needed; project relocation may be necessary.
