Job description

About SoloPulse:

SoloPulse is a DARPA-funded Georgia Tech spin-out and non-traditional defense contractor (NTDC). We leverage advanced wave theory rooted in Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) to transform low-cost RF hardware into tactical-grade intelligence tools. Our product line includes SIGMA™ (Electronic Support), NOVA™ (SAR imaging), and ATHENA™ (AI orchestration), providing high-fidelity sensing at the tactical edge.

The Role:

We’re looking for a R&D Systems Engineer to work directly on the development of advanced radar and sensor systems across multiple platforms, including drones and ground vehicles. This highly hands‑on role spans hardware prototyping, mechanical design/build, and embedded software. You’ll help turn concepts into field-ready radar systems, from low-level code and electronics integration through physical assembly, lab bring‑up, and testing.

What you’ll work on:

  • Hardware prototyping, wiring, bring-up, and integration

  • Collect, analyze, and distribute data to various engineering teams

  • Mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, and system packaging

  • Debugging across software, electronics, and physical hardware

  • Supporting drone and sensing platform development from concept to test

  • Embedded coding for sensor, control, and data acquisition systems

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field

  • Strong interest in embedded systems, robotics, drones, or sensing platforms

  • Experience with RF antennas, including RF link budgets, antenna design trades, signal chain analysis, and RF payload integration.
  • Experience in at least some of the following: C/C++, Python, microcontrollers, electronics, networking, CAD, fabrication, or mechanical assembly

  • Comfortable learning quickly and working across software and hardware boundaries

  • Hands-on builder mindset with strong problem-solving ability

  • Eager to work with cross-functional engineering teams and take meaningful ownership of project

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
