Title: Quality Control Inspector

Location: Onsite at Corning, NY
Duration: 12 Months

Description:
Responsibilities
• Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal.
• Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
• Support the department’s safety initiatives, apply knowledge of industrial safety standards, and identify health hazards.
Required Skills
• Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications, design prints, SOPs, etc.)
• Proficient in using hand measurement tools and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methods, practices, and procedures.
• High attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Metal fabrication and welding knowledge
• Metrology experience (e.g. CMM, vision systems, 3D scanning, etc.)
• Solidworks/CAD understanding
