Description

Position Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Zabbix monitoring across Linux and Windows servers, applications, and infrastructure services.

• Configure and maintain AppDynamics dashboards, health rules, and alerting to ensure comprehensive application visibility; support additional dashboarding platforms as required.

• Support Everbridge integrations and manage notification workflows.

• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for cloud services using native cloud monitoring tools.

• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate monitoring tasks, enhance alert context, and generate operational reporting.

• Perform baseline Linux and Windows troubleshooting, including monitoring agent issues, connectivity checks, resource utilization, and service health validation.

• Participate in incident triage and post-incident reviews to support timely resolution and continuous improvement.

• Create, maintain, and improve runbooks, monitoring standards, and operational procedures; share insights and lessons learned with the team.

• Work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating strong ownership and initiative.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related problem resolution.

• Demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of IT experience or 7 years of IT experience without a degree.

• Must be eligible for a Position of Public Trust, including U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, five years of U.S. residency, and no more than six months of international travel in the past five years (excluding travel for U.S.-based work or Military Service).

• 3+ years of experience in IT monitoring, NOC operations, SRE support, infrastructure operations, and related monitoring tools.

• 1+ year of experience with cloud monitoring in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• 1+ year of hands-on scripting experience using Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with and integrating REST APIs.

• Experience with AppDynamics or other application performance monitoring (APM) platforms

• Experience with Everbridge or similar incident notification and communication tools

• Experience with ticketing system integrations and ITSM workflow processes.

• Familiarity with monitoring-as-code practices and version control systems.

Additional Provisions for Agency Contractors

• Once the candidate’s résumé is approved and the interview is passed, the staffing agency is responsible for coordinating the drug screening. Failure to provide results in a timely manner may delay the security clearance process.

• Adherence to a business casual dress code is required.
